Previously on Catch’s Confession
A reminder of what you read last week in Episode Two...
Catch planned everything.
Two identical Fords. A stolen note. A silver music box. A child taken cleanly from a quiet house in Wellesley.
He lied to a state trooper with a smile and a pocket watch.
He believed in kismet.
But when he called the father to demand ransom, the father laughed. Not hysterically. Not afraid. As if the appointment had already been made.
“You have four minutes and fifty-five seconds,” Lamarck said. “And then… there will be hell to pay.”
Catch ran back to the house.
Upstairs, the lamp was still burning.
And nothing was the same.
